Irene Cuevas

Program Manager

Irene’s (she/her) work as the Program Manager centers around being the primary contact for customers and overseeing program and projects from creation to completion. Irene collaborates with a variety of teams internally and externally; she is the ‘go to’ person when it comes to answering questions for customers and partners. She also supports many details and logistics that make the program effective and accessible.

Irene has worked in both non-profit and corporate settings, specifically her background revolves around tool automation and legal contracts. At heart, a lot of Irene’s background stems from data collection, process improvement, and monitoring both customer and donor success satisfaction.

Irene attended the University of Washington in Seattle and obtained a bachelor’s degree majoring in Law, Societies and Justice. Furthermore, she minored in both Disability Studies and Political Science. She has worked at the University of Washington College of Education, the Washington Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and AT&T Corporate. Irene has obtained her certificate in Project Management from Google and is working on her Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate. Irene volunteers at El Centro de la Raza in the legal clinic.

What are people most surprised to learn about you?
I think something that most people are surprised by is my ability to play video games at a competitive level. As well as my ability to buy a plant and somehow kill it a couple of days later with no ability to revive it.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?
My favorite activities to do outside of work include being an avid Google News enthusiast. I love to cook Hispanic and Latin American foods, volunteer, as well as take nature walks and partake in hot yoga. I would also consider myself a food enthusiast- I enjoy tasting cuisines from different cultures as well as volunteering for cultural events.

What drew you to BELONG Partners?
BELONG Partners values resonate with me on a personal level. Specifically the commitment to creating diverse, equitable change in our next generation of leaders and our nurturing collaboration that helps create a safe learning and culturally sensitive space for children. BELONG Partners scope allows for children to become the best version of themselves while also pushing services such as parenting workshops – allowing parents to become the best version of themselves and further connect with their children. At the core, what aligned was BELONG Partners values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and the way we intersect those values into social-emotional learning and trauma-informed workshops.
