Mario Bailey

Mario Bailey the is Vice President of Community Engagement and Legends for the Seattle Seahawks. ­­Bailey’s career with the Seahawks started in 2018 as the Director of Legends and Community Engagement and he was also the Director of Legends and Player Engagement.

Prior to joining the Seahawks, Bailey held several roles working for King Country that focused on youth and veteran services. Bailey also worked in the Seattle Public Schools as a School Success Coordinator and an Intervention Specialist. His passion for football and helping youth merged as he was the head football coach at Franklin High School, his alma mater, from 2004-2008 and returned for 2017 season.

Bailey attended the University of Washington and played football for the Huskies from 1989 -1991. He was a consensus first-team all-American receiver and Pac-10 co-offensive player of the year as a senior in 1991. He helped lead the Huskies to a 12-0 record and the 1991 national championship. He was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 2014. 

Selected in the sixth round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers, he continued his football career internationally with NFL Europe playing for the Frankfurt Galaxy from 1995-2000. He is the league’s all-time leader in receptions. 

Bailey also serves on the Champions of Change Advisory Committee, 1861 NIL Foundation Board, and Atlantic Street Center Board of Directors.
